Systecon Group has won a contract to help the US Army analyse the operational status of military vehicles and weapons systems using its proprietary artificial intelligence and predictive analytics software.

The company said that it will implement predictive analytics technology that enables the army to understand equipment conditions and optimise the decision-making process to meet fleet readiness goals for its Prognostics and Predictive Maintenance (PPMx) programme.

Under the PPMx effort, Systecon’s software will support monitoring of the military service’s sensor-supported equipment and sensor-less legacy systems that could not transfer data to another platform.

“Leaders view PPMx as streamlining the process and returning time to commanders and soldiers in the field,” said Chief Warrant Officer 5 Nickie Cudjoe, Senior Technical Advisor at the army’s Ground Vehicle Systems Center.

Systecon noted that it has more than 600 customers across the globe and the company provides software to defence agencies in 24 countries, including all four branches of the US Department of Defense.
