United Technologies acquires Predikto

United Technologies (UT) has bought a predictive analytics boutique as part of the Tier 1 supplier’s corporate push into becoming a software industrial giant.
UT has acquired Predikto of Atlanta under undisclosed terms. Predikto will now have a presence both in Atlanta and in Brooklyn, New York, where UT has recently opened a digital lab near the Brooklyn Bridge.
According to UT, Predikto is known for its proven, cloud-based predictive health maintenance system. In particular, Predikto’s technology platform is able to take hundreds of disparate industrial asset datasets and automate up to 80% of the analytics process to quickly deliver actionable insights for taking pre-emptive steps to avoid issues, thereby increasing asset uptime.
