TWI appoints two new training managers

Martyn Wright originally worked for TWI as a Project Leader in the non-destructive testing (NDT) research group before he headed to Lloyd’s Register. There, he worked as Principal Non-Destructive Evaluation (NDE) Specialist in the marine division.
After 12 years at Lloyd’s Register, Martyn has decided to rejoin TWI as UK Training Manager within its Training and Examination Services department. Building upon his experience, Martyn’s new role will see him manage all of TWI’s training programmes for the delivery of PCN, CSWIP and BGAS certification schemes, at all of TWI’s UK sites.
This new role allows TWI to take advantage of Martyn’s extensive industrial knowledge and experience, as well as his desire to promote new products within the training portfolio.
Meanwhile, Stephen Wisniewski has been appointed as TWI’s new NDT Programme Manager, UK and Europe. Stephen originally worked for TWI as a Chief Examiner for six years before he headed to IMechE, where he was employed as a Courses and Examinations Manager. After five years at IMechE, Stephen has decided to rejoin TWI as NDT Programme Manager, UK and Europe, within the training school.
Building upon his 35 years of NDT experience, Stephen’s new role will see him manage NDT lecturers and the NDT programme for the delivery of PCN and CSWIP certification schemes at all of TWI’s UK sites.
This new role allows TWI to take advantage of Stephen’s extensive knowledge and qualifications, which include his status as a Chartered Engineer, a BEng (Hons) in materials and his Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
