TEST NDT International receives EN ISO 9001:2008 certification

In addition to the currently held accreditation from BINDT as an NDT training provider and from NANDTB as an accredited Outside Agency Level 3 service provider, in February this year TEST NDT International Ltd received ISO 9001:2008 certification for its Quality Management System.This certification covers the quality management system for the NDT training courses and Outside Agency Level 3 services.
The courses are BINDT-accredited in addition to meeting the formal training requirements of EN 4179/NAS 410, PCN (Aerospace) and SNT-TC-1A.
The Ultrasonic Phased Array Aero course is the most popular and features the Olympus OmniScan instrument.
The course covers many different aerospace and aircraft phased array applications for manufacturing or in-service inspection, including: carbon fibre composite inspection, Airbus wing skin corrosion detection, cracks from fasteners, Boeing scribe line (lap joint) inspection, friction stir weld inspection and several of the current ‘in-service’ aircraft inspections following Service Bulletins and Airworthiness Directives.
TEST NDT has been a founder member of the Olympus NDT training academy since its inception seven years ago and has specialised in the aerospace and aircraft sector phased array applications.
All of the courses are offered as scheduled courses at the TEST NDT facility in Leyland (near Preston), Lancashire, or can be hosted at the customer’s facility for groups of three or more people.
TEST NDT International Outside Agency Level 3 services provide NDT training, qualification examination preparation, administration and grading, procedure development, and instrument or application specific training to the aerospace sector, in compliance with EN 4179:2009 and EASA Part 145 requirements.
This is becoming a very important part of the business due to the recent requirements for internal and outside agencies to be NANDTB accredited as per the NANDTB/12 document and for all examiners to hold recognised external Level 3 certifications.
