AGR launches new products at international events

A very rainy Aberdeen hosted an all-time record-breaking attendance at what was the largest exhibition and conference in the history of SPE Offshore Europe. AGR Field Operations was amongst over 1,500 exhibiting companies, representing business operations from around the globe and covering more than 25,000 m2. This year’s theme was ‘Securing Safe, Smart, Sustainable Supply’ and was attended by some 32,000 delegates.Based in Aberdeen, AGR’s team was headed by Eric Doyle, Business Development Manager for EMA. AGR was well represented by each of its business units and was able to offer a complete insight into its business and global operations.

e on show, namely CSS™ and the TD Pipe-Runner. CSS is a new conductor stabilisation method developed by AGR that improves upon traditional techniques for reducing wave-induced damage and increases guide stability, while the TD Pipe-Runner is a pipeline AUT inspection system, driven by the advanced features and in-built motor drive of the TD Focus-Scan ultrasonic acquisition system. Both exhibits generated much interest. AGR Technology Design was represented by Applications Advisor, Mark Nel, and General Manager, Mark Clark. Both were impressed by the great amount of interest shown in the TD Pipe-Runner system and the TD Focus-Scan phased array and TOFD system.
Meanwhile, AGR Technology Design launched three new products at the ASNT Fall Conference in Palm Springs, USA. The new Rx Handy-Scan, the PS45 Pocket Scan (an ethernet version of the popular TD Pocket-Scan) and the capable but highly cost-effective PAUT system, TD Pipe-Runner, were on display. Jackie Berry explained: “These new systems in our product range are a result of great customer feedback and we are very excited about bringing them to the NDT market.”
Mark Clark told NDT News: “The interest shown in our new products was excellent and will lay the foundations for 2012 and beyond as we continue with our global growth strategy and dedication to leading-edge product development and the industry in general.”
