BINDT welcomes John Moody to its team

04/02/2013

The British Institute of NDT (BINDT) is pleased to report that John Moody has joined its team in the role of Technical Support Engineer. John is very well qualified and has extensive relevant experience. He is also very widely known in the industry and, therefore, he needs little introduction. The role, however, is new and readers might be interested to know more about it.

One of the expected outcomes of the role is to develop an improved level
of engagement by the Institute with its stakeholders. John will achieve this by maintaining an overview of scientific developments in NDT and condition monitoring across a wide range of applications, liaising on technical matters with other organisations nationally and internationally, including RCNDE, Catapults, BSI and so on, and giving presentations at BINDT and other events, including BINDT Branch meetings.

John will also provide technical support to all Institute departments, including educational and professional development, certification, conferences and events and publications. He will also provide the requisite technical input in support of strategic initiatives, discrete projects and current/future Institute activities.

Cameron Sinclair, BINDT CEO, says of the appointment: “The role is a senior one and John will report directly to me. Although John is perhaps seen from the outside as being associated most closely with BINDT’s certification proposition, and although John will indeed devote a significant amount of his time to supporting certification, the role supports all of the Institute’s activities and enhances our capability across the board. I hope you will join me in wishing John every success in this new role.”
