Sonatest ‘scores’ a hugely successful international sales meeting at the Stadium MK

09/01/2013

The four-day event was held at the state-of-the-art Milton Keynes Dons Football Stadium, Milton Keynes, UK, and provided the ideal environment to host the largest Sonatest international sales meeting to date. Distributor partners attended from over 25 countries, together with representatives from industry and other institutions.

This event provided opportunities for presentations and discussion around the development and demonstration of new products and technologies, which included the recently-launched new range of thickness gauges and the cutting-edge new product that comes in the shape of the Prisma, a phased array/UT/TOFD instrument, which was launched to the open market in December 2012.

Sonatest was pleased to welcome its newest distribution partners from Italy, Romania and Brazil. One of the highlights of the week was a superb awards dinner evening, where the Best New Distributor award went to its partners from Italy and the Most Improved Distribution Partner award went to colleagues in Russia. Other award-winning partners came from territories including Brazil, Holland, France, China, Korea and Australia.

Amongst the workshops and demonstrations that took place, Steve Lavender from Lavender NDT International also joined the Sonatest agenda, with a presentation on professional development within NDT, equipment and his role as President of The British Institute of Non-Destructive Testing.

After the formalities were over, there were plenty of opportunities for team building around various social events, which included a murder mystery dinner evening. Sonatest is pleased to announce that none of the attendees were proven guilty!

A second Sonatest ISM has since taken place alongside the ASNT Fall Conference at the end of October 2012. Both events have proven to be a great success and have provided an excellent platform for products and developments that will be launched during 2013.
