AGR Field Operations in full force at OTC 2009

Despite a global economic recession and initial concerns about swine flu, attendance at the 2009 Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) that took place in May in Houston, Texas, reached 66,820. With more than 557,000 square feet of exhibition area filled by 2500 companies from 38 countries, energy professionals from more than 120 countries met at the world's largest offshore resources industry event, which was the second largest in OTC's 40-year history.AGR Field Operations was in full force with representation from its offices in Houston, UK, Norway and Australia and was strategically situated next to AGR Technology Design's distributor, NDT Brazil, in the Brazilian pavilion.
With a wealth of knowledge covering AGR's range of innovative products and services on offer, the stand had a very high level of traffic pass through and interest not only in AGR's current operations but also in future initiatives such as in the Brazil region, where interest was gathering momentum for the coming years.
AGR Technology Design was also promoting its range of advanced ultrasonic test equipment and, in conjunction with NDT Brazil, was displaying and promoting a newly developed scanner. This will form part of a complete system that will be offered as a package to continue with the customer service goal of being able to offer a one-stop approach to meet with all customers' requirements. The system, which utilises the advanced functionality and capabilities of the TD Focus Scan, drew in a large number of people, interested both in the standalone systems and in the scanner.
NDT Brazil was represented by the Managing Director, Fabio Fraga Moreira, and Michael Ulott, Maintenance and Operational Support Manager, who also promoted the fact that they were fully operational using the scanner and many TD Focus Scan systems, offering pipeline inspection in Brazil in their own right, as well as distributing the TD equipment in that region.
