Glacier Energy welcomes new business unit director to drive expansion

Glacier Energy, a specialist provider of products, services and engineered solutions for the renewable and conventional energy markets, has welcomed Paul Johnston to the team as the new Business Unit Director of its Inspection Services Division.
In his new role, Paul will lead the Inspection Services team, playing a pivotal role in executing the division’s strategic plans. His leadership will be critical as the division looks to penetrate new markets, introduce additional services and undertake strategic acquisitions to drive business growth.

Paul brings over 30 years of diverse experience to the role. He has held senior roles across several sectors, including renewables, testing, inspection and certification (TIC), oil & gas, aerospace and defence. His impressive track record includes positions such as European General Manager, Operations and Technical Director and, most recently, Vice President of Operations at Leonardo.
Commenting on his appointment, Paul said: “I am delighted to be joining Glacier Energy at such an exciting point in its growth journey. I have been particularly impressed by the ambition and enthusiasm of the management team and the new private equity backers, Averroes Capital. I am looking forward to getting started.”

With Paul’s appointment, Glacier Energy is well placed to further solidify its market position and achieve significant growth in both wind and the wider energy market.
