Significant long-term Shell contract secured by BIS Inspection

Aberdeen-based BIS Inspection has secured a multi-million pound contract with oil and gas operator Shell EPE (Exploration & Production Europe).The company – a division of leading industrial services provider, BIS Salamis (M&I) Ltd – has been awarded the contract to provide NDT and Inspection Engineering services across Shell's northern operations.
The contract covers eight offshore installations, St Fergus, Mossmorran and Braefoot Bay onshore gas plants, and the Shell offices in Aberdeen.
While the contract is initially for a five-year period, there is an option to extend the agreement for a further two years.
BIS Inspection expects to expand its workforce by recruiting 40 new personnel, following the award of the contract, with more than 20 technicians and 20 onshore staff set to be appointed during the next two months.
The agreement marks a continuation of the excellent ongoing relationship between Shell EPE and BIS Salamis in the UK which has seen the company enjoy an unbroken 15 year record for supplying services to the operator.
