02/05/2007

The firm's Houston office opened in 2006 and is now headed up by Roddy James, who was formerly based at iicorr's Aberdeen headquarters. The contract awards include refinery work for corrosion monitoring, offshore survey and a contract with BP to provide integrity services for all of the company's deepwater risers/flowlines and subsea equipment in the Gulf of Mexico – the project set industry records with the facilities being installed on water depths of up to 7000 ft. This contract is another partnership win with 2H and will result in iicorr working on all of BP's deepwater subsea facilities utilising its integrity expertise.
Roddy James, Vice President, iicorr Inc, said: "With our base in Houston, we have increased our scope for integrity, inspection and corrosion services in the US. We are currently recruiting further personnel this year to service our current contracts and to strengthen our team in order to provide expertise to our growing US client base."
iicorr provides consultancy, management, engineering and operational support in the oil and gas, process, utilities and marine industry sectors. The company headquarters are in Aberdeen and there are operational offices in Baku, Kuala Lumpur, Perth (Australia), Holland and Houston.
