NDT Services and Eurospection join forces

The directors of NDT Services Ltd, Kegworth, Derbyshire, and Eurospection Ltd, Cannock, Staffordshire, have announced that, with effect from 2 April 2007, Eurospection has joined the NDT Services Ltd service inspection business.

Both companies are well established in the non-destructive testing industry, and both have been in operation over a period of many years. Peter Bryan formed Eurospection in 1980, and has specialised in providing non-destructive testing operators to many major sites and clients in the UK and Europe. NDT Services Ltd was formed as a result of a management buy-out from the Royal Insurance Group in 1986, and the present Managing Director, Graham Tomlinson, has worked for the company since 1984.

NDT Services is a major supplier to the aerospace industry sector, in all NDT disciplines, and also provides on-site specialised inspections and non-destructive testing personnel on some UK sites, plus metallurgical/materials testing capabilities.

Both companies share a work ethic of providing quality services at competitive prices, with an emphasis on helping to bring cost-effective non-destructive testing solutions to their clients.
"The individual strengths of each organisation will be combined to create a service inspection company that can offer a greater variety of inspection solutions to both clients and employees alike," said a spokesman.

NDT Services will benefit from Eurospection's long-standing experience in providing technicians for projects in the UK, mainland Europe and offshore, whilst Eurospection clients will have access to specialist NDT services such as immersion ultrasonic testing, eddy current tube testing, materials testing and metallurgical investigations, plus other more recent techniques such as digital radiography.

It is envisaged that, in joining the two businesses together, clients will have access to an increased range of services, and employees will have greater scope for personal development in the field of non-destructive testing. "In addition," continued the spokesman, "working as one, it is thought that we will be able to tender for more significant projects, which may have been outside of the scope of the businesses individually."
