Monitran appoints James Holland as Engineering Coordinator
01/05/2009

Holland (43) was previously a Senior Electronics Engineer with Ultra Electronics, which specialises in the design, manufacture and support of electronic and electromechanical systems, sub-systems and products for defence, security and aerospace applications worldwide. Holland is, therefore, no stranger to designing fit-for-purpose products for use in harsh environments.
As Engineering Coordinator, Holland will be the interface between Monitran’s design engineers (hardware and software), Monitran Technology (the company's 'blue sky' R&D arm), QA and production – plus Monitran's customers and suppliers. Commenting on Holland's appointment, Operations Director Andy Anthony says: "We're delighted to have James on board. He has a vast amount of experience to bring to Monitran as an OEM of sensors and also to Monitran's valued customers."
Holland is also set to play a crucial role in Monitran's consultancy services which, since late last year and in the face of the current economic climate, have been increasing in direct response to demand from customers. Holland comments: "Monitran's customers appreciate that condition-based predictive maintenance, particularly when it includes vibration monitoring, is the most efficient way to keep their factories and facilities fully operational. However, that 'efficiency' only comes through the appropriate use of the most suitable sensors – which often need to be deployed in extremely harsh environments."
