WTR announces expansion across four continents
07/05/2009

The firm has announced four new service distributor agreements which are expected to generate in excess of £1million within the first year.
WTR is a leading composite repair solutions provider and an internationally recognised name in asset integrity. The company has formed a strategic alliance with Wood Group Brazil, which has become the sole provider of WTR's products to the Brazilian market.
The firm has also entered into contracts with South African-based Rhokana Engineering, Norwegian firm Norse Cutting Abandonment (NCA) and Absheron Engineering, which will distribute WTR's products in Baku, Azerbaijan.
The new relationships will allow WTR to meet the demand for engineered composite repair technology, such as its innovative 'TechnowrapTM' product range, within these key oil and gas locations.
Alexandre Quadrado, country manager for Wood Group Engineering and Production Facilities in Brazil, said: "We are excited to be working exclusively with WTR to offer their range of products and services to the Brazilian market as part of our asset integrity solutions."
Engineers from Wood Group Brazil travelled to Aberdeen for training on the company's products. Training of technicians from the other firms is underway.
Pete Day, Regional Sales Manager, WTR, said: "The expanded Technowrap distribution network which our new partners will provide is an important part of our global expansion strategy. There has been a high level of interest in our technology from engineering professionals at all levels and I am confident that this new deal will play a significant part in our plans to increase turnover from £4million to £9million by 2012."
WTR now exports Technowrap composite pipeline repair systems to Angola, Azerbaijan, Equatorial Guinea, Brazil, Norway, Canada, Egypt, Oman, Nigeria, Brunei, Ghata, Yemen, Qatar, Libya, Abu Dhabi and South Africa.
