Technology Design at the ASNT-NATL conference and exhibition

The ASNT-NATL conference and exhibition, organised and hosted by BINDT
and held at the Daventry Court Hotel in Northamptonshire, proved to be fertile ground for first-time attendees Technology Design Ltd (TD). The event coincided with the 20th anniversary of the North Atlantic Chapter of the ASNT and therefore attracted members and, in particular, Level IIIs from across the country. TD’s Applications Advisor, Mark Nel, presented a paper that cut across the trend of many NDT conferences towards the purely scientific and provided a practical perspective on some of the challenges and solutions a specialist manufacturer faces when customers demand a one-stop shop for an order that may include several speciality products from other manufacturers. Not surprisingly, this deviation into practical issues that decision-makers are faced with from time-to-time generated much discussion on the exhibition floor and the TD personnel on the booth had a busy time accommodating the visitors.The 20th anniversary dinner was a lively affair over an excellent meal, with discussions running into the early hours. A big thank you to the organisers and attendees for making the event a resounding success.
