Cryogenic triaxial accelerometer
16/05/2025
PCB Piezotronics (PCB) has announced the launch of its new Model 354A14 case-isolated cryogenic ICP triaxial accelerometer. This model is relatively small in size, with three individually isolated sensing elements. It has exceptional frequency response from 2.5 kHz to 10 kHz throughout the broad operating temperature range, all the way down to −196°C. It is the first triaxial accelerometer to complement PCB’s 351 family of single-axis cryogenic accelerometers.
Model 354A14 has a wide frequency range of up to 10 kHz at 10%, high resonant frequency of ≥ 25 kHz, small size and low mass and it is hermetically sealed, made from stainless steel. The 354A14 triaxial accelerometer can be used in a wide variety of test applications but is primarily designed for validation testing of cryogenic gas storage vessels and distribution piping. It can also be used for rocket motor validation testing, cryogenic fuel system testing, automotive thermal stress screen testing for cold weather operations and validation testing of industrial gas compressors and pump systems for cryogenic gases.
