Ashtead announced as Approved Rental Agent for RSL

Ashtead Technology has become 'Approved Rental Agent' for RSL NDT Ltd. As part of the agreement, Ashtead Technology has purchased RSL's non-destructive testing (NDT) equipment hire fleet, consisting of subsea MPI systems, ROV FMD systems, SCUMPI systems, underwater thickness gauges and bathycorrometer kits, worth in excess of £300,000. All future rental enquiries received by RSL will also be passed directly to Ashtead Technology.Ashtead Technology, one of the world's largest equipment rental companies, offers a range of equipment for offshore survey and ROV, NDT and visual inspection. With the addition of these items to the fleet, Ashtead Technology now offers a wide range of subsea NDT equipment, encompassing the latest systems available.
Ashtead's Operations Manager, Ian Harvey, believes that the RSL products will be extremely popular with Ashtead's rental customers in the subsea market. "The Agreement provides an excellent opportunity for the business," said Harvey. "The addition of the RSL rental fleet modernises our fleet of equipment in the NDT sector, whilst also increasing the range of equipment on offer, with items such as the new SCUMPI systems. Focused on equipment rental, Ashtead is able to ensure that customers rent the most appropriate model and that it is delivered on-time, calibrated and ready for use, backed up with a 24 h technical assistance."
Andy Anderson of RSL NDT Ltd expressed his delight with the Agreement, commenting: "The Agreement with Ashtead will allow the exposure of our products to a wider market, and with Ashtead's vast experience in equipment rental we see this as an excellent opportunity for both companies."
