TSC Inspection Systems and Linjebygg Offshore AS sign agreement for joint supply of inspection services

TSC Inspection Systems, the UK-based industry experts on the design, manufacture and supply of non-destructive testing and stress measurement instrumentation, incorporating alternating current field measurement (ACFM®) technology, and Linjebygg Offshore AS (LBO), which operates in the non-destructive testing (NDT) services sector and provides services and turn-key projects to the oil & gas industry both offshore and onshore, have agreed to work together and supply specialist NDT inspection services for operations in the splash zone area of an offshore platform environment.Under the terms of the agreement, it is LBO’s intention to deploy TSC ACFM sensors on LBO specialist equipment that is designed to deploy custom-made access tools using a traditional ROV robotic arm, which is remotely operated from a control cabin on deck and specifically used in the offshore platform environment commonly known as the ‘splash zone area’.
Both companies will supply onshore engineering support and offshore operations personnel, from first customer contact through to the submission of the final report and analysis of the data, thereby ensuring the customer is working directly with the people who actually design, manufacture and fully understand the technology being used for such complex operations.
