Engineering Leaders Scholarship open for applications
23/11/2022
The Royal Academy of Engineering’s Engineering Leaders Scholarship (ELS) is an award for engineering undergraduates (in at least their second year of study), attending UK universities. Applicants must demonstrate a passion for engineering, as well as leadership potential, with the aim of becoming role models to future generations and engineering leaders early in their career.
These scholarships help ambitious undergraduates, in engineering and related disciplines, to undertake an accelerated personal development programme, which will help them to gain the necessary skills to become engineering leaders, soon after graduating.
Successful awardees receive:
- £5-10k, to be used over three years, towards personal development activities (linked to their university study/career goals)
- Dedicated training and networking events
- An invitation to the annual ELS engineering conference
- The support of an Academy Mentor
- Access to exclusive Academy opportunities
- Invitation to join an alumni community of 300+ engineers.
The scheme is now open for applications and closes on 16 January 2023.
The Academy is committed to diversity and inclusion and encourages applications from women, and black, Asian and other minority ethnic groups who are currently under-represented in engineering, including those studying at post-92 universities.
