The entire team at Labquip NDT Limited, a leading provider of non-destructive testing (NDT) solutions, recently convened at the company’s Stroud headquarters in order to receive intensive training in the operation of Waygate Technologies’ ultrasonic testing equipment.

The majority of the sessions were focused on the features and benefits of Waygate’s portable USM 100 ultrasonic testing system.

Chris Vaughan (Territory Manager – North England) and Andy (Technical Sales Engineer) explore the full potential of Waygate Technologies’ USM 100 digital flaw detector

Over a three-day period, Technical Support Specialist Ingo Klein provided a schedule that covered several key learning areas. These included distance gain size (DGS) curve analysis, probe calibration techniques, phased array applications and competitive positioning against other systems. The Stroud sessions also included plenty of practical demonstrations using various test-blocks and calibration standards.

Chris Vaughan, Territory Manager, North England, noted that: “Ingo’s USM 100 training was superb in every way: all members of our Labquip team are now equipped to unlock many more secrets from the equipment and thus deliver even more added value to our customers.”

Labquip NDT’s recent growth has seen the UK team double in size since its foundation. The growth trend is expected to continue, prompting Labquip NDT to further equip its 2000 sq ft Stroud base with further NDT services and capacity for equipment sales and spares.
