TSC Inspection Systems and Sonomatic sign agreement for supply of joint inspection services for subsea ROV-deployed NDT operations

TSC, the UK-based industry experts on the design, manufacture and supply of non-destructive testing and stress measurement instrumentation, incorporating alternating current field measurement (ACFM®) technology, and Sonomatic, a worldwide organisation specialising in inspection solutions using advanced ultrasonic techniques and associated engineering services, inspection planning and fitness-for-service assessment, have agreed to work together and supply joint ACFM/UT inspection services for oil & gas subsea ROV-deployed NDT inspection operations.The agreement provides a framework to enable TSC and Sonomatic to identify opportunities in the specialist subsea ROV-deployed NDT inspection market, which they believe would provide an opportunity to jointly offer the services and expertise of both companies – but as one integrated package that brings together two of the world’s experts in the field of UT and ACFM NDT inspection – something that can only benefit the customer in the planning and execution of ROV-deployed NDT inspection operations as they become more complex and more demanding.
Under the terms of the agreement, Sonomatic will supply its ROV-deployable inspection scanning systems, which will be engineered to incorporate TSC’s subsea U31 ROV ACFM inspection instruments. Both companies will supply onshore engineering support and offshore operations personnel, from first customer contact through to the submission of the final report and analysis of the data, thereby ensuring the customer is working directly with the people who actually design, manufacture and fully understand the technology being used for such complex operations.
