End of active life for Eddyfi products

Due to several critical components reaching obsolescence and the unpredictability in the supply of parts, Eddyfi Technologies has announced that the RMS product family and RScan DCP have reached the end of their active life (EOAL), effective
immediately.
Having served in the field for numerous years, these products have established themselves as dependable and globally trusted solutions by various companies. Presently, Eddyfi remains fully dedicated to providing repair and maintenance services for these products through its various service centres. As part of its commitment to sustained customer support, the company has advised that last time purchases will not be available. Any remaining inventory will be consolidated to ensure ongoing support continuity.
Eddyfi’s servicing provisions will remain in operation until 1 October 2025. While the company will continue to strive to offer repair services for units delivered to its offices until 1 January 2027, this will be offered on a best-effort basis.
Also announced is an EOAL notice for the HandScan and all related accessories, which will no longer be offered for purchase from 31 October 2023.
HandScan has been a dependable product for many years; however, demand has declined since the launch of Eddyfi Technologies’ FloormapX given the increased coverage this latest product offers.
The first-generation PipeScan scanners have already entered the end of active life phase since the launch of the more capable Pipescan HD alternatives.
Electronics module calibration for the HandScan and PipeScan will continue to be offered and hardware repairs will be supported on a best-effort basis (determined by parts availability) until the official end of life date of 1 January 2026.
