Full-size fastener testing now available from Caparo Testing Technologies

Caparo Testing Technologies has announced that, as part of an extension to its UKAS scope of accreditation, it is now able to offer full-size fastener testing at its Willenhall laboratory.
The extension covers full-size testing of stainless steel fasteners to ISO 3506-1 and will complement the site’s existing wide range of mechanical, chemical and metallurgical testing services, offered to both local and national markets.
Caparo Testing Technologies is a leading laboratory and materials testing supplier, continually working to adapt to the needs of its clients in an ever-changing industry. Located in the heart of the West Midlands, Caparo Testing Technologies’ Willenhall facility provides testing support to the surrounding oil & gas fastener market and recently recognised the need for full-size fastener testing. Investing in a new 1000 kN tensile machine allows the laboratory to perform testing of ISO 3506-1 fasteners from M4 up to M36, all covered by its UKAS accreditation.
