Their mission is to maximise asset performance, minimise downtime and drive operational excellence.

Role overview:

They are seeking an experienced Condition Based Monitoring (CBM) Engineer/Vibration Analyst to join their reliability engineering team. The role involves vibration analysis and wider condition monitoring of critical rotating machinery, combining field data collection with office-based analysis and reporting. You will support multiple UK client sites with occasional overseas travel.

Key responsibilities:

  • Perform vibration analysis to CAT II/VA2 standards on pumps, motors, compressors, gearboxes and turbines
  • Collect, interpret and report on data from vibration, thermography, ultrasound and oil analysis
  • Diagnose equipment faults, identify failure modes and provide actionable recommendations
  • Produce clear technical reports and present findings to clients
  • Support root cause analysis, reliability projects and tailored monitoring programmes
  • Build digital asset health records and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety and quality standards.

Essential requirements:

  • CAT II/VA2 certification (candidates with CAT I certification with strong experience may be considered)
  • Three to five years’ experience in vibration analysis and CBM (candidates with CAT 1 certification with extensive vibration analysis experience may be considered)
  • Strong diagnostic, reporting and client-facing skills
  • Full UK driver’s licence and a willingness to travel (25%)
  • Health, safety and quality awareness.

Preferred requirements:

  • Security check (SC) clearance
  • Experience with complementary CBM techniques
  • Digital monitoring tools or reliability methods (reliability-centred maintenance (RCM)), failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA)).
