A Deburr Operative is sought. This position is offered on a permanent basis and has become available due to continued growth and expansion. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for hand finishing components to very high standards, involving polishing to improve surface finishes and corrosion.
Responsibilities:- Undertaking of blending damaged components and polishing to improve finishes and corrosion removal of aircraft components with pneumatic tooling
- Local non-destructive testing (NDT) of components to aid dressing of ladder cracks
- The successful candidate will be required to maintain a practical experience record (PER) book
- The successful candidate may be required to train personnel in a specified area subject to qualifications and experience
- All duties shall be undertaken in compliance with safety and environmental regulations and company procedures.
Skills and experience required:- Experience in the use of pneumatic tooling is desirable
- Experience with different abrasive grades of flap wheels; however, this is not essential
- Able to work in a team environment and able to work on own initiative to complete work tasks provided
- An awareness and understanding of responsibilities outlined in the company’s environmental procedures
- Previous knowledge of working with metals
- Knowledge of using small hand tools
- Ability to demonstrate manual dexterity
- Reading engineering drawings is helpful but not essential
- It would be beneficial for the individual to have good knowledge of hand finishing techniques and knowledge of engineering drawings, although not essential.

- The shift pattern is double days, Monday to Friday. One week of early shifts (6.00 am to 2.00 pm) and one week of late shifts (2.00 pm to 10.00 pm), alternating weekly.
