An NDT Engineer is sought to join a turnover aircraft company that offers dedicated training, development
and career opportunities at an industry-leading European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) 145 facility.
The company promotes technical development from the ground up and will support further development to senior positions within the team for those looking to progress their career. Due to growth, the company is looking for an experienced Level 3 NDT Engineer to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the non-destructive testing (NDT) inspection of aircraft components, using experience and an eye for detail to make a real contribution towards aviation safety.
Ideally, the successful candidate will be located within a commutable distance to Ramsgate and be experienced in a variety of non-destructive testing processes.
The role offers 33 days’ holiday and an early finish on a Friday.The role:- Prepare and verify the adequacy of procedures in the specified method
- Carry out daily NDT procedures and other NDT-related work instructions for technical adequacy
- Conduct weekly and monthly control checks, internal audits and substantiation/validation trials on new NDT consumable products or equipment
- Develop and train Level 1 and 2 colleagues
- Ensure quality standards are maintained in accordance with the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), EASA and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
Qualifications:
- Qualified to EN 4179/NAS 410 and NDT Level 3 in magnetic particle and penetrant testing
- Ideally from an aerospace/aviation industry
- Ability to work under pressure.
Hours of work:
- Monday-Thursday: 8.00 am-4.30 pm and Friday 8.00 am-3.30 pm.
