NDT Technician Radiography

A testing organisation is seeking a Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Technician with radiography certification. The successful candidate will be based at the company’s site and on the road, travelling across the north east to carry out testing. When on the road, a company van is provided and expenses will be paid if required to stay away from home. 

Responsibilities:

• Carry out a range of NDT inspections, including radiography on different manufacturing and industrial sites
• Regular travel, predominately around the northeast and, when required, other areas of the UK
• Ensure compliance with statutory and legislative requirements as well as client requirements
• Interpret and evaluate test results
• Conduct equipment inspections and calibrations
• Collect, collate and report, with sketches, the result of the examination
• Work to international standards, ensuring they are continually met
• Present reports with detailed information and maintain all records.

Person specification:

• Previous NDT experience is required
• For this role, the company is looking for someone who can hit the ground running
• Radiography certifications are essential
• Experience with IT systems is required to ensure that the successful candidate can complete report writing
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
