A Quality Inspector (weld and non-destructive testing (NDT)) is sought. The role is pivotal in upholding quality standards and compliance within manufacturing environments and the successful candidate will be responsible for inspections and documentation review. This position fosters a culture of operational satisfaction and adherence to project requirements.
This role is ideal for quality assurance (QA)/quality control (QC) professionals with CSWIP 3.1 certification, meticulous attention to detail and excellent communication skills. It is also suitable for those experienced in welding procedures and quality assurance protocols who thrive in collaborative environments.Key responsibilities:- Complete inspections to ensure material at goods inwards meets the required standards
- Liaise with subcontractors and treatment works to carry out inspection of sites
- Visit suppliers and produce relevant inspection reports
- Utilise welding inspection and NDT knowledge to ensure work is completed to a safe and high standard in compliance with company and ISO standards.
Requirements:- CSWIP 3.1 certification is essential
- PCN Level 2 in magnetic particle inspection (MPI) and dye penetrant inspection (DPI) is highly desirable
- Experience within nuclear, Ministry of Defence (MOD) or heavy fabrication is highly advantageous.
Working hours and pay:
- This position requires 37.5 hours per week working from 7.00 am-3.30 pm Monday-Thursday and
7.00 am-12.30 pm on Friday - The salary for this role is £27.07 per hour (£52,700 per annum) plus overtime at premium rates.
