Award for BINDT members  

Award criteria


Purpose:
To recognise an outstanding candidate at the Professional Review Interview (PRI) who goes on to be registered with the Engineering Council (EC) at EngTech, IEng or CEng level. 
 
Eligibility: Any Institute member demonstrating very strong competencies in most areas at the relevant level for the registration category. They must be operating at the highest level of responsibility and decision-making appropriate for their role. The candidate must be registered with the EC through BINDT at EngTech, IEng or CEng level within the year of consideration.

Details of the award: £200 cash, an invitation to the NDT or CM Annual Conference Dinner with one night’s accommodation, a framed certificate signed by the President and the Chief Executive Officer and a personalised letter from the President.  

Frequency: It is anticipated that one award will be made annually for each of the registration categories: EngTech, IEng and CEng, providing suitable nominations are made by the Engineering Council Working Group (ECWG).

Nomination arrangements: ECWG will consider the top three PRI scores in each category and conduct an internal vote to select a nominee for each category. Nominations for the award will be reviewed by the Croxson Committee and recommended for ratification by Council.
 
Awarding arrangements: The award will be made at the Annual Conference Dinner by the President.
