Skills Training UK

Skills Training UK is a national provider of non-destructive testing (NDT) apprenticeships, which has supported over 70 specialist employers across advanced manufacturing, automotive, energy and aerospace sectors to upskill and recruit over 130 NDT apprentices, creating over 295 new certificates for the industry in PCN, EN 4179 and CSWIP NDT Level 2 and 3 qualifications.
 
Winners at the prestigious FE Week & AELP (AAC) Apprenticeship Awards 2019 for best apprenticeship programme development, Skills Training UK’s unique delivery model has been developed to link the process between employer, specialist training provider and apprentice, making it easier and more cost-effective for employers to upskill and recruit for NDT. Skills Training UK was also recognised as ‘Training Provider of the Year’ at the TES Further Education Awards in 2019.
 
At Materials Testing 2019, Skills Training UK will showcase the variety of its programmes on offer, which includes Level 2 NDT Operator, Level 3 NDT Engineering Technician, Level 6 NDT Engineer and the new Level 3 Industrial Coatings Applicator programme.
 
On day two of the Materials Testing conference, session 5D3 at 10.25 am, Skills Training UK’s NDT & Materials Testing Account Manager, Sam Cunningham, will talk about the benefits of the programmes on offer to employers, details of how end assessments work and what funding opportunities are available for levy paying and SME employers in the West Midlands.
