NDT for the nuclear industry seminar
About the workshop Friday 24 January 2020 Watermill Hotel, Paisley, UK

This seminar, in association with the University of Strathclyde's Advanced Nuclear Research Centre (ANRC), reviewed the evolution of nuclear NDT, lessons to be learned in nuclear and other industries and research directions for the future.
Tony Wooldridge, co-author of ‘Golden Egg or Poisoned Chalice?: The Story of Nuclear Power in the UK’ opened proceedings whilst ANRC explained current projects that include: in-process weld inspection, smart cement/sensors and advanced image processing techniques. Speakers in attendance also represent: Doosan Babcock; AWE; EDF; ONR; Rolls-Royce; TRAC Oil & Gas; and many more.
The seminar was held from 10h00-16h00 at the Watermill Hotel in the centre of Paisley, within walking distance of Paisley Gilmour Street railway station and a short taxi ride from Glasgow Airport.
A table-top exhibition ran from 09h30-16h00 in parallel with the event, which delegates could visit during the tea/coffee and lunch breaks. The exhibition was free to attend and over ten exhibitors were presenting the latest products and technology.
