Established in Cambridge, UK, in 1946, TWI Ltd provides NDT services for a wide range of industry sectors via its NDE group. Offering world-leading services in the development and application of NDT ensures equipment, plant assets and products remain operational, reliable and safe.
The company will be using the Materials Testing 2022 Exhibition to market its range of NDT services, including advanced ultrasonics, digital radiography and robotics, as well as its NDT expertise across a wide range of inspection methods. With its outstanding track record of research and development in NDT technologies and inspection services, its team of highly skilled engineers and technicians and wide range of industrial facilities and tools place TWI in a unique position to solve NDT problems and perform failure investigations.
A highlight of the display will be a demonstration of the newly developed TWI COBOT-deployed advanced ultrasonic inspection system for remote inspection, comprising a collaborative robot deploying full matrix capture (FMC) ultrasonic inspection, which enables operators to remotely inspect parts. This has application for remote NDT training and telepresence for control and NDT in hazardous industrial settings.
Cambridge-based TWI also offers innovation, knowledge transfer and problem resolution across all aspects of welding, joining, surface engineering, inspection and whole-life integrity management.
