Option 1 Walking tour followed by the Taste of Scotland menu and drinks at 354 Castlehill, The Royal Mile, Edinburgh EH1 2NE, UK. The Taste of Scotland menu comprises a trio of starters, trio of mains and dessert paired with a Scotch whisky.
  • EICC pickup 17.30.
  • Walk down Lothian Road, passing Usher Hall (gifted to the city by Whisky Merchants, the Ushers).
  • Pass Graverobber lookout tower, built in early 1800's.
  • Pass by John Napier's resting place (Napier invented logarithms).
  • Stop by Joseph Lister's house (Lister pioneered antiseptic medicine and surgery).
  • Stop by Alexander Graham Bell's birthplace.
  • Stop by statue of James Young Simpson, pioneer of anesthesia.
  • Walk through West Princes Street Gardens, passing statue of Wojtek the Bear.
  • Get the best view of Edinburgh Castle.
  • Pass by statue of Scottish poet from 1700's, Alan Ramsay.
  • Pass by Floral Clock.
  • Pass by statue of George IV (guide tells a funny story about the king visiting Edinburgh wearing a kilt that was way too short).
  • Walk along George Street, the best example of Georgian architecture anywhere in the UK.
  • Stop at statue of James Clerk Maxwell (if time allows).
  • Drop-off at 354 Castlehill.
Option 2 The Scotch Whisky Experience – A silver guided tour plus a nosing and tasting of a single malt or blended Scotch whisky in one of the world's largest collections of Scotch whisky. The perfect journey through the world of Scotch whisky. Widen your knowledge, explore flavours and create whisky memories. The Scotch Whisky Experience was recently crowned 'The Best Visitor Attraction at the National Scottish Thistle Awards'.
The tours commence from 16.48 and 17.24 at 354 Castlehill, The Royal Mile, Edinburgh EH1 2NE, UK, followed by the Taste of Scotland menu and drinks. The Taste of Scotland menu comprises a trio of starters, trio of mains and dessert paired with a Scotch whisky.
