ATH NDT and NewGen NDT forge a strong alliance

ATH NDT and NewGen NDT have forged a partnership that will see ATH NDT install NewGen NDT process management systems for all its penetrant testing lines.ATH NDT is one of the leaders in penetrant lines in the UK and Europe, designing, manufacturing and installing bespoke penetrant testing lines to the exact needs of its customers, while NewGen NDT provides innovative process management systems for penetrant testing lines and paint shops.
The process management systems simultaneously manage the quality and production aspects of the process, utilising data collection to improve and drive the process.
Marc Berry, Director of NewGen NDT, said: “All of us here at NewGen NDT are delighted with the opportunity to form an alliance with one of the leaders in penetrant line manufacturing. The lines are really some of the best around and we believe our product will complement ATH NDT’s already modern and sophisticated-looking penetrant lines.
“All companies use statistical process control (SPC), data collection and so on, but it is seldom used within NDT, where we collect a lot of data. We recognise that data collection/utilisation and SPC are very current and prominent tools across many sectors. This, coupled with the fact that there have been no new technological improvements in penetrant testing other than the LED lamps, has led us to develop this system.”
The process management system represents a significant advancement in penetrant testing. The system adopts quality methodologies, data collection and utilisation and a combination of 50 plus years’ experience has gone into the development of the process management system.
