Technology Design at the Feira da Mecânica

Technology Design (TD) would like to thank the many delegates who visited the booth of its distributor in Brazil, Kubika, at the Feira da Mecânica 2014.
The event provided the opportunity to approach the different engineering disciplines and mechanical industries and demonstrate the potential of ultrasonic non-destructive inspection on materials and welds. TD was encouraged by the openness of the market to adopt these techniques, in particular time-of-flight diffraction (TOFD) and phased array.
Computerised ultrasonic techniques using TD systems target not only improvements in production process quality, but also facilitate archiving of inspection data for future comparative analysis. TD systems are ideal for inspections performed in accordance with the various existing national and international quality standards, such as ISO, EN and many others.
Visitors unfamiliar with TD systems were surprised at the ease of use of the user interface, common to all TD systems, and, in particular, the existence of wizards for configuration of phased array and TOFD techniques. The wizards ensure quick and accurate configuration, compliant with the latest standards for each technique.
