IMechE Engineering Training Solutions launches computed radiography testing Level 3 course

IMechE Engineering Training Solutions is now offering computed radiographic testing Level 3 training, after adding it to its already extensive NDT and inspection course schedule, with available dates beginning in August 2016.Applicable to those working within castings, weld fabrication and in-service inspection companies quantifying corrosion under insulation (CUI), the course is tailored to those operating and overseeing computed radiographic systems. Over the four-day course at the Engineering Training Centre in Sheffield, students will cover control of CR systems, including equipment, procedure writing to meet industrial standards and archiving considerations. The course is being delivered by Courses and Examinations Manager Stephen Wisniewski, who has 33 years’ experience working within casting, welding and in-service industries.
Course dates are 22 August, 10 October and 12 December 2016.
Culminating in a one-day exam, students must be certificated to conventional RT Level 3 in their specific sector and Computed Radiography Level 2. Those who do not hold Computed Radiography Level 2 are able to attend a course starting on 26 September 2016 before commencing Level 3.
