Inspection Tech Ltd has announced the launch of the latest addition to its UVee™ range of products, the static ultraviolet (UV) microprocessor-controlled Strip Light™ for bench-top and wash-station dye penetrant inspection, which can be either wall-mounted or suspended.With what is said to be the lowest form factor on the market of just 60 × 6 × 5 cm and weighing in at under 3 kg, it projects an extremely uniform and very large 365 nm UV beam pattern of 110 × 60 cm from a working distance of 15". Such large uniform coverage significantly reduces inspection times and operating costs.
Due to its embedded microcontroller, other advanced features include zero stabilisation time and the most stable output intensity levels on the market, it is claimed. Efficiency is high so power consumption is very low. The unit can even operate for several hours off a small battery pack if mobile work is required.
It is fully compliant with Rolls-Royce RRES 9006, Airbus AITM6-1001 and ASTM E3022.
The Strip Light is designed and built within the UK and comes with a five-year guarantee.
