Metso Mining has collaborated with Rockwell Automation to introduce a predictive maintenance solution for the mining industry.
Through the collaboration, Metso is expanding its Metso Metrics offering with a predictive maintenance solution designed to maximise comminution circuit uptime and performance.Metso Metrics is designed to provide miners with improved visibility and insight into their equipment and processes with analytics, condition monitoring and predictive maintenance.
The Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) solution is built on the Rockwell Automation Factory Talk cloud platform. It collects data from hundreds of sensors in Metso equipment used to assess process performance as well as to predict component wear and failure.
Metso performance teams analyse the data with the support of advanced machine learning algorithms to help customers optimise equipment operations and processes.
