Danfoss to use Honeywell’s predictive maintenance

Danfoss has added Honeywell’s predictive Smart Refrigeration Solution to strengthen its Alsense Internet of Things (IoT) retail service platform.Honeywell’s solution goes beyond traditional monitoring systems, which primarily provide alerts and alarms, by identifying operating issues and providing actionable insights to fix them.
Alsense provides food retail professionals with transparency and executive overviews of refrigeration assets and energy efficiency at the chain level. Going forward, Danfoss says the combined Alsense offering will enable managers to easily benchmark and prioritise efforts across stores to save time and optimise the impact of their maintenance spend. Alsense will also provide service technicians with a prioritised action plan, enabling them to immediately address equipment performance and operating concerns upon arrival at a store.
The step follows the recent launch of Danfoss’s Alsense IoT platform, an updated and enhanced version of its former Danfoss Enterprise Services (DES) business, to create what it describes as a more sustainable, scalable and secure cloud-based portal for managing food retail operations.
