Baugh & Weedon supports Testia NDT training school

September 2013 saw the official opening of Testia NDT Training School in Newport. Integral to the Testia Project Plan in Europe, the state-of-the-art facility in Newport will service all Airbus Group entities and others worldwide who manufacture or operate aerospace products, and offer apprenticeships, graduate training and internships for those wishing to pursue careers in aerospace NDT.
The opening of the Testia training centre included the integration of Baugh & Weedon MPI benches for the students to receive their MPI training. In aggregate, Baugh & Weedon supplied two SBU Magazon benches along with a Digimag powerpack, demag coil, UT cleaning tank and a range of accessories, including the LumaCheck dual UV and white light meter, Lumazon dual UV and white light inspection lamp, hand yoke, tangential field strength meter, Annis residual field meter, various test-pieces and MPI testing inks. For Baugh & Weedon it was a privilege to be able to support this venture by supplying the benches and accessories to Testia. The obvious benefit to Baugh & Weedon is that new NDT professionals training at Testia will be using its equipment during their MPI courses.
