Invitation to half-day NDT event

Ashtead Technology has issued an open invitation to anyone with an interest in non-destructive testing to attend a free half-day event in Coventry that will provide an introduction to some of the latest NDT technologies.
Ashtead Technology’s NDT Market Manager, Neil Harrap, said: “The event has been designed for both experienced NDT practitioners wishing to learn about the latest technology, in addition to staff that are relatively new to NDT.“We anticipate most attendees coming from the aerospace, automotive, power generation, motorsports and academic sectors, but all are welcome to attend.”
The event will include product demonstrations and case studies for the new Eddyfi Ectane System: a high-performance surface array and multi-technology tube inspection system employing ultrasonic, eddy current and electromagnetic technology for the detection and assessment of flaws, such as cracks or corrosion, in conductive materials. The presentations will also cover other advanced NDT technologies, with demonstrations of the following NDT methods:
- Tube testing
- Eddy current array testing
- Phased array ultrasonic testing (PAUT)
- Time-of-flight diffraction (TOFD)
- Ultrasonic flaw testing
- Eddy current testing.
