Online PCN Level 3 training launched with IMechE Engineering Training Solutions

The first round of students have enrolled and are now studying online towards their PCN Level 3 (Basic) through NDT training provider IMechE Engineering Training Solutions (IMechE ETS).Halfway through the allotted time to complete the course, IMechE ETS is already seeing the benefits of students being able to train and work their way through the syllabus at their own pace, with some having already completed the course and booked onto a main method course and others who are completing the early modules.
Students are able to work through the course at their own pace, with some deciding to organise it around their usual work commitments whilst others have set aside a dedicated time to work through the syllabus. Either way, the online training provides significant savings on travel and accommodation costs.
The feedback received for the online course, from initial focus groups and those on the first enrolment, has been extremely favourable. The use of the online forum is proving very popular, with regular questions and discussions taking place between students and tutors.
Further enrolment dates for 1 August, 5 September, 3 October and 7 November 2016 are now available, with main method (face-to-face) course dates scheduled for 15 August and 3 October 2016. Prospective students are requested to contact the IMechE enquiries team for more information and to book a place.
IMechE ETS is on the BINDT steering group for the development of online NDT training and is working with a number of partners to develop best practice in bringing more online courses and methods to market.
