Innerspec Technologies Europe joins Siderex

10/06/2025

Innerspec Technologies Europe has announced that it is joining Siderex to drive innovation and development in quality and process control in the steel industry through advanced non-destructive testing (NDT) solutions.

Joining the cluster will allow Innerspec to strengthen its participation in industrial transformation projects by contributing its technology and know-how in reliable, precise and production-oriented non-destructive testing systems, with a common goal: optimising quality and process control in the manufacturing of steel products.

Innerspec has over 25 years of experience in developing non-destructive testing solutions for the metallurgical and steel industries. The company develops fully automated NDT systems for the inspection of long and flat products, with more than 400 systems installed in 30 different countries.

Innerspec’s solutions cover a wide range of applications, including systems such as Rondo GT for complete volumetric inspection of round products such as tubes and bars or Bridge CM for monitoring electrical conductivity in aluminium sheets, as well as equipment for inspecting welds between coils during cold rolling, surface and internal inspection of mill rolls such as Rollmate, ultrasonic thickness measurement of pipes without couplant and more.

Rondo GT, by Innerspec Technologies, is an integrated full volumetric inspection system for round products

Since the first commercial applications of electromagnetic acoustic transducers (EMATs) in the mid-1990s, Innerspec has expanded its portfolio to include other non-destructive testing techniques such as phased array ultrasonics, eddy current and laser profilometry, addressing the advanced testing needs of its customers.

Innerspec’s integrated inspection systems are tailor-made for each client’s requirements, due to a comprehensive team of non-destructive testing technology experts, process engineers, mechanical and electrical design specialists and control system and software engineers. This team provides full support to clients, from identifying quality or process control needs, through design, manufacturing, commissioning, operator training and post-sale technical assistance and support for installed systems.

“Being part of Siderex allows us to create synergies with other leading companies in the sector and actively contribute to the development of solutions that address the current challenges of the steel industry,” said Víctor García, General Manager of Innerspec Technologies Europe.
With this move, Innerspec Technologies reaffirms its commitment to sector-wide collaboration and the development of technological solutions that enhance the competitiveness of the steel industry, both in the  Spanish national market and internationally.

Innerspec is headquartered in Forest, Virginia, USA, and Madrid, Spain, and is said to have  an unmatched team supporting its advanced ultrasonic equipment and services. Its offices in America, Europe, China, Mexico and the Middle East, along with representatives around the globe, provide commercial and technical support with factory-trained personnel.
