The result of a collaboration between Sound & Bright and Tsukuba Technology, a Japanese company specialising in laser ultrasonic visualisation for the inspection of complex shapes, the laser ultrasonic Visualizing Inspector is capable of quickly scanning a complex shape and displaying the propagation of ultrasonic waves.
Fast scanning is achieved using a high repetition rate generation laser. Detection is set at a fixed location using either a contact piezoelectric sensor or a laser receiver for true non-contact inspection. The powerful software allows surface and inner defects such as corrosion, voids, delamination and cracks to be easily located on a variety of materials.Founded by experts in optics and non-destructive testing (NDT), Sound & Bright specialises in the development of innovative NDT instruments.
