15/03/2021
Baugh & Weedon Ltd is now offering Danatronics’ MTG-99 magnetic thickness gauge to the UK inspection market. Simple to use, the MTG-99 non-destructively measures the thickness of any non-ferrous material up to 2.5 cm thick, with access to both sides.Typical applications include plastic bottles, toys, containers, tubing, titanium, aluminium and copper tubes and pipes, as well as composite structures. A broad range of target balls are available to work with different shapes and surfaces that require inspection.
The MTG-99 is a portable battery-operated unit, with on-board alarms that use colour changes and vibrations, meaning that minimum thickness readings are captured easily. With an internal alphanumeric data logger and the ability to interface with Excel, smooth data capture and reporting can be followed up. Built to meet IP67 standards, the MTG is housed in a rugged case with many accessories, including gauges, stands and foot switches, to enable adaptability in the field, and has a battery life of up to 16 h.
Currently available on-board languages include English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Czech, Finnish, Chinese, Japanese and Hungarian.
