ITC announces Level III thermography course

03/11/2015

For any professional thermographer, Level III certification is the gold standard. It signifies wide experience and a standard of knowledge that meets internationally-recognised criteria. The Infrared Training Centre has confirmed it will be holding Level III thermography training at its base in West Malling, Kent, in November 2015.

This is a four-day course, culminating in a written exam based on requirements outlined by ANSI/ASNT. Level III certification training teaches thermographers how to establish and manage a successful thermography programme across a variety of applications and industries. Content includes instruction on how to establish inspection procedures, apply industry-specific standards, manage training and certification needs, budget for equipment purchases and implement safety protocols.

Participants will also learn how to develop an equipment list, establish severity criteria, set repair priorities and determine IR survey frequencies. These are all critical elements in a successful inspection programme. Hands-on work is emphasised too with laboratory practice to reinforce the theories discussed.

A Level II thermography course completion certification is a prerequisite for acceptance onto this advanced course, which will run from Tuesday 17 to Friday 20 November 2015, inclusively. More information on availability, the course schedule and costs are available at www.irtraining.eu
