North Star Imaging UK hosts successful laboratory open day

North Star Imaging (NSI) UK recently held its official open day to introduce potential customers to the company’s X-ray and computed tomography systems and inspection services laboratory in High Wycombe, United Kingdom. The successful event was visited by representatives from the aerospace, automotive, medical device, electronic and university sectors. Attendees were given the opportunity to see a demonstration of the capabilities of NSI’s digital X-ray and computed tomography equipment as well as a factory tour and demonstration of Instron’s tensile/compression testing equipment. 
This facility houses NSI’s most versatile system, the X5000 series, capable of digital radiography and computed tomography with a scanning envelope of
0.8 m × 1.2 m. The company offers advice and support to customers wanting to develop application-specific solutions and supply inspection services. Typical inspection service requests are for internal measurements, 3D CAD comparisons, void and/or porosity analysis, surface reconstructions for reverse-engineering, finite element analysis and failure analysis.
