New NDT player in the USA market

A new player in the NDT supply market, Alban NDE LLC, part of the ETher NDE Ltd and Baugh & Weedon Ltd family, opened its doors on 1 October 2020, offering a wide range of NDT products to the North American market, with fast turnaround times and a wealth of industrial expertise.Alban NDE will head up sales for ETher NDE and Baugh & Weedon products in the USA, Canada and Mexico. Working with existing American distribution partners of these UK-based NDT equipment manufacturers and directly with customers in the USA, Alban NDE aims to deliver responsive customer service, smooth product delivery and expert support by being geographically in situ, time zone friendly and offering the team’s extensive NDT business and applications knowledge and experience to ETher NDE and Baugh & Weedon customers.
With over 35 years’ experience in the NDT industry, CEO Flynn Spears stated: “Alban NDE is a culmination resulting from my many years in the NDT industry. Barb Hansen, adding over 15 years’ experience in NDT and inspection industries, will be heading up in-house management and providing a key point of contact for partners and customers at the new office, based at East Valley Business Park, Renton, Seattle, USA.
Alban NDE will supply the product ranges of ETher NDE and Baugh & Weedon. ETher NDE is a leading manufacturer of eddy current flaw detectors, eddy current probes and accessories, with a long-established reputation for equipment reliability and performance together with probe design and customisation. Baugh & Weedon, established for over 50 years, is a manufacturer of magnetic particle inspection (MPI) bench and liquid penetrant inspection (LPI) penetrant lines, building both standard and customised solutions. Alban NDE will also be the key American contact for the Baugh & Weedon expanded product range, including the magnetic flux leakage (MFL) TruFlux Scanner, the multi-mode bond tester BondCheck, ultraviolet (UV) inspection lamps and MPI meters and accessories.
