Successful rope access weld inspection customer event

Oceanscan, GE Inspection Technologies’ channel partner in Aberdeen, recently held two customer workshops focusing on the inspection value of GE’s Mentor EM and Mentor Create for rope access weld inspection.Over 30 inspectors attended, from both on- and offshore inspection companies. A ‘live’ rope access demonstration was performed with the Mentor EM. After the demo, inspectors agreed that the instrument size and weight was not an issue when used by rope access inspectors. Remote collaboration was demonstrated via Wi-Fi connection to a remote PC. Mentor Create was reviewed to show the ease of customising the Mentor EM user interface and developing workflows to eliminate inspection hurdles.
