Lavender International launches online pre-learning platform for Level 2 courses

Lavender International has announced the launch of a new online pre-learning platform for a number of its Level 2 courses.Given the ever-changing global travel restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Lavender recognises the difficulties that some students are facing regarding being able to physically attend NDT training courses. The company has invested in the development of an online pre-learning platform for a number of Level 2 methods, offering people the ability to study the theory elements of the course online at no additional cost before they attend their course at a later date.
Studying online prior to attending the course will be particularly beneficial to students who are currently unable to travel but would like to commit to a training course and begin their learning. Lavender also sees the pre-learning opportunity as key to students absorbing theory elements before being taught in the classroom.
“Accessing the platform prior to attending the course will have the added benefits of improved retentive knowledge, greater potential for passing the theory exam parts first time and opportunities to dig deeper into certain topics with the tutor when attending the course for the benefit of making more informed decisions on equipment selection and optimising instrument parameters, resulting in a more well-rounded, highly skilled, certified NDT operator,” said Tim Armitt, Managing Director.
Pre-learning will initially be available for visual testing, magnetic testing, penetrant testing, ultrasonic testing, radiographic testing and eddy current testing. The content for each method has been carefully developed by experienced tutors with a vast array of NDT industry knowledge and experience.
Each method is broken down into modules and incorporates a wide range of content, such as illustrations, videos, animations and end-of-module assessments, alongside the written content, to accommodate the different needs of students in terms of learning style.
Students who sign up to one of Lavender’s Level 2 NDT courses, schedule in a full course and pay either a deposit or in full will be able to gain free access to the pre-learning digital platform before visiting one of its UK or USA training schools to learn the theory and practical before sitting the certification exam.
